Hi test post!
I am still beaming about going the whole 21 Days without any chocolate….
Anyway, I thought I would do a quick little summary to kinda highlight some of the key points in my cleanse and share some of the products I used.
If you haven’t read any of the other posts about the cleanse and would like to, here’s where to start!
It all started on May 19th – first day was a piece of cake…. no wait, let’s go with a slice of apple instead.
Day 3 was torture! It got a lot better from day 4 and on.
Some of my favorite things I ate during the cleanse were:
I really really did not like the powder that I had to add to each smoothie, it kind of ruined the wonderful mix of fruits and veggies and made the drink super chunky and did not taste so good.
Taking all those supplements at one time was a bit challenging, but I got used to it after a while.
Like I mentioned yesterday, my nails are stronger, my hair is healthier and my face has cleared up a lot! I also lost a little bit of wait, about 5 lbs – I was not in this to lose weight but instead just to feel better and get rid of some toxic junk in my system, but losing those pounds was a nice little bonus. Plus my favorite pair of jeans fits better now, so Im happy.
My first day off the cleanse (yesterday) I only had a little bit of chocolate, and that was dairy, nut, and soy-free chocolate chips that I melted with coconut oil and drizzled over my homemade protein bars, so I did not have very much.
Surprisingly, I didn’t have an “oh my goodness have I missed you my beloved chocolate” moment, I actually didn’t really care so much for it and kinda wished I had made the protein bars without the drizzled chocolate on top. A-MAZE-ING! I am a self proclaimed choco-holic, and for (I think) the first time in my life, I didn’t really want the chocolate.
So over all, I really enjoyed just eating healthy foods, even when it got crazy because I had festivals I was working at, with fried food and fudge calling my name, I was still able to stick to the plan and only eat the good stuff.
Along with watching what was going into my body, I took an extra step to be cautious about what I was using on my body as well.
I did not wear any make up, except for mascara (couldn’t quite give that up).
I used natural personal hygiene products/ made a few of my own
and I use essential oils often for multiple different things throughout the cleanse.

What I ate:
Breakfast : smoothie with SP powder, kale, strawberries, mango, banana, water.
Lunch: spring mix salad, quinoa, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, sprouts.
Dinner: sautéed portabella mushrooms with coconut oil, thyme and quinoa.
Snacks: cucumbers and strawberries
How I’m Feeling: a little bit irritable today – lack of patience. I am sooo sore from yoga last night, my shoulders kill! I’m so out of shape.
Other Purification techniques: Lavender and Stress Away Blends of Essential oils.
Exercise: I didn’t excercise today.
So yeah, feeling less than wonderful today. Hoping for a better day tomorrow.
